Review Methodology

Last Updated: May 2026

OpenClaw Resource evaluates OpenClaw skills, configurations, and automation workflows. This page explains how we assess tools and what criteria we use for recommendations.

What We Evaluate

We assess OpenClaw skills and configurations across these areas:

  • Reliability: Does the skill work consistently without manual intervention? Does it handle edge cases gracefully?
  • Performance: How fast does it execute? What are the resource requirements? Does it scale to production workloads?
  • Ease of setup: How complex is the installation? Are there clear prerequisites? Do the instructions work as described?
  • Maintenance: How often does it break with OpenClaw updates? Is it actively maintained?
  • Security: Does it expose sensitive data? Does it follow secure configuration practices?

How We Score

We score skills on a 1-10 scale across each evaluation area. An overall score is calculated from these individual scores. We do not score purely based on popularity or developer reputation.

When We Update

OpenClaw evolves with each release. When significant changes affect a skill or configuration, we update our content and note the date of the last update. If you notice something outdated, please let us know.

Independence

Our reviews are not influenced by skill developers or tool vendors. We do not accept compensation to improve scores or add skills to our guides. If a skill does not meet our standards, we say so.
